My name is Cameron, I am 21. I breed Javanese kittens with my mom, sister, brother and Father. I have always loved animals. We have been breeding for about 17 years. Before Javanese, I always considered myself a dog person, as did my mom, but at this point, I can say I am definitely a cat person.
In the Spring of 2009, we adopted our first Javanese, Toby. Prior to this, we had always adopted from humane shelters, but we decided to try something new because I was going into middle school and my brother was entering high school. My mom thought that Toby would probably be the last cat she ever got us. Boy was she wrong.

Toby was unlike any cat we had ever had. We fell in love instantly. Toby came from a cattery called My Javanese Heaven. I bonded with his breeder, Elsie, and soon she invited me to help her socialize her kittens. After we had been working together for about a year, I asked if I could breed too. I helped her deliver kittens and take care of her queens.
Once I was ready, she let me choose a girl to become my first breeder. I chose Nudge when she was just a few days old. After I had picked out my kitten, I worked hard to bond with her. I started carrying her around in a baby sling as soon as she was old enough to regulate her own body heat. I slept over at Elsie’s house often so that I could spend as much time as possible with Nudge.

As a result of both her predisposition to be sweet and my extra socialization, she blossomed into the sweet cat that she is today.
My mom and I agreed that we had ought to get another breeder of a similar age so that they could bond. That is when we decided to get Honi too. Originally I chose Honi’s sister, but Honi was so sweet and cuddly that I decided she would be a better fit. Her sister was also very sweet, but Honi and I had a connection early on.
After Nudge’s first litter of six beautiful kittens, I quickly realized just how big of a responsibility it is to care for kittens. Nudge trusted me to care for her babies and I accepted the responsibility. It was hard work, but it was worth it. We met many new people and built many friendships. Our kittens are part of our family until they leave for their forever home, we love to see pictures of them as they grow.
We want to meet people and have them meet us before they choose a kitten. That is why we like people to fill out our adoption questionnaire so that we can get to know more about you. It is very important for people to meet the kittens before they choose one. Although they are all very sweet, sometimes a kitten will bond with one person in particular. Other times, there may be one that fits perfectly into your unique family. For example, sometimes we have kittens who are especially outgoing and would be great with kids, while other kitties my be a bit timid around dogs.
Our kittens are raised with our golden retriever, Juno, so most of them do quite well with If you do really want a certain color or pattern we will definitely try to accommodate that, but we believe that the most important thing about a cat is their personality/temperament.
